Harborne Queens Park - Bowls Pavilion and Bowling Green

Hi, The Council appear to be proposing to sell off the old Bowls Pavilion at Queens Park on Court Oak Road.

I was wondering if anyone on this Forum has information about when the pavilion was built, who ran it, which bowls club(s) used it, etc.

I am also curious as to why the pavilion was located close to Court Oak Road when the bowling green itself was at the other end of the Park? Or did the bowling green used to be located closer to the Pavilion itself?

Any comments, pictures or information would be very welcome.
