Hi,

My daughter used to work at HRS in Great Barr Street , and she remembers visiting a neighbouring factory
to buy food at lunchtime from their canteen. She particularly remembers that they did very good chips!

The factory was either next door or very close to HRS on the same side of the road, but she can't remember
the name of the place. Anybody have any recollections of the neighbouring workplaces to HRS?

Could it of been Cannings?

There is a thread on here named "Old Houses in and around Great Barr Street"

There may be more information on there

Many thanks for your reply. Cannings was on the other side of the road on the corner of
Little Barr Street from memory.
I haven't been able to find the thread you have mentioned so far, but will keep looking.
Your name rang a bell with me, - did you ever live in Blakesley Road?

HI Dave, no I didn't this is my married name, second marriage only been wed 8 years
