Arthur I think hailed from Kings Norton and enlisted in May 1915. Anyone know where abouts in Kings Norton.
 
There was no Arthur Charles Welham born in the midlands counties but on the 1911 census there is Arthur C Welham age 17 born Clapham,London, a Clerk at 222-223 Broad street,Birmingham,he appears to be a lodger.
1901 3 Victoria Place , Balham Hill,Streatham,London.

Florence age 41 wife born Aldermaston,Berks
Arthur C age 7 son born Clapham London.
 
Arthur Charles Welhams parents were Arthur Ranson Welham and Florence Ann Jelfs who married in Warwick Sept 1885 ref 6d 768 although neither came from this part of the country

Thankyou for the info, I have a family tree website, but this extra stuff is very helpful. I have Arthur Charles Welham living in Moorside road, Yardley Wood in 1929 but prior that date I am having no luck. As I said he did enlist from Birmingham and in 1916 he went on leave again somewhere in Birmingham.
