Thats the one Greet Primary School, Warwick Rd, Greet. Though I think I knew it as Percy Rd School. Kudos have to go to Curly though who named it first by PM and didn't want to stop the game early so he told me by PM. Well done both of you.
Hi All
Just been looking through all the posts .They are all of groups Lets get some individual ones up. Iwill start with this one of me at Greet school in 1941 age 6.
The photo has a story attached to it. In 1943 my dad sent it to my uncle in North Africa ,he was with the 8th army. On the back is a scribled message i wrote.
[This is my school photo. Bring it back when you come home].He carried it on to Sicily and on to Italy. He was killed in Dec1943 at the very early stages of the battle
for Monti Casino. The photo was returned with his personal items. He had trimed it down the best he could to fit it into a wallet he had bought fore me in Sicily.

Hi My wife's late mother worked at Greet School in the 1970..80s..her name was Trudy Fields..She always said how much she enjoyed working there..anyone remember her..
My late husband Cyril went to Greet school in 1939 and stayed there until he was evacuated to Nottingham and when he was sent back home I believe the school had been bombed - he lived in Roma Road. By a strange coincidence I started Brownies here in 1943.
Cyril told me years later that he was evacuated to Nottingham twice and was sent back to Birmingham both times because of bad behaviour.
