Goldberg's ladies and children's hoisery

Hi girls
How many of you out there can recall Goldberg's ladies clothing and pinafores and the rest of ladfies out fits
They was on Lichfield red Aston two doors from Thompsons
They was there until about 1955 before they closed down
They used to have brass casters on wires where they put the customers cash in and sent it flying across the shop in the air
To the office and big pound notes went up a tube and it also came down the tube then you got your change
My old lady used to send me down to that shop to get a pinny I think it was a OSS in size then I would get a penny for going
When I came back then I could buy 4 Black Jacks from Mrs Barnsley also she would take our ration coupons
If she had none I would run down along the Lichfield red to Mr wettons sweet shop and get a penny soda cream pop

I remember Goldbergs Alan, I remember buying a pair of green and white striped cotton pyjamas, with lace around the yoke and the bottom of the short legged trouser bottoms, this was in 1957 and they cost either 12/6d or 14/6d. The shop was a couple of doors from Heath's china shop if memory serves me right.

Happy new year to you and its nice to hear from you again its been a long time since she last spoke and I hope all is well with you
Yes you are quite right indeed about heaths it was right next door, at the time of posting it I was under pressure and from suffering from a fall
On the ice cracked my head and lower back and a sprained wrist to and two go with it not so long ago I had been told by consultant
I have early cancer and crones deceased muscle wasting this was BT the consultant at the Worcestershire royal
Where I spent three weeks still not to worry
I am surprise thou some body recalled it which is great still life goes on sylv,
