German Spy

parabellum

knowlegable brummie
Evening all,

We have a bit of a mistery and trying to work out where to look. I'm going to post this one of the big world war 2 forums also. But i know there is a few ww2 hisotians guy/gals who come on here too. Ok let the Page of spam start :D

My partner who is dutch has a story from his family that his great uncle was taken in WW2 from Utrecht (in the nethlands/Holland) to German to work. After the war ended his great uncle came come and died within 2 weeks, due to a needle he was given in german when the allies came in and let them free. Also we know there was a missing person note made by the government stating he was missing. So him dying and having a missing person notice seems a bit off. Also there is no death Cert.

So about 2 months back we found out from a distant family member that this is not the real story. He was a spy for germany and when the war was over he came back to Holland but then the dutch goverment put out a wanted persons on him. So he fled, we have never been able to trace anything down for him since then.

We are wondering is there any sites out there that show wanted German Spies from world war 2? We have tried to find something...anything. We have even tried to see if the first story was real, we got stuck when we relised there is no death records on him.

I know that its strange to post asking for help on a dutch matter on a Birmingham History forums, but its worth a try. We have tried Dutch sites with no infornation forthcoming.

Kind Regards, Ami + Michiel

Hi Ami

Are you able to supply us with a name? It may be worth a trawl through the newspapers.

Suzanne

Name: Cornelis Entrop
DOB: 1922 in Utrecht, Netherlands/Holland

Tried to find prisioners lists also. But there seems to be a lack of information on that also.

Sorry but no luck. I can find mention of a couple of Dutch spies but not an Entrop.
