My great grandmother Rosa Louisa Genever (b 1865) married Walter Jones (c1865) and lived in Barford Street in 1898. Her parents were Frederick and Eliza Genever.

Frederick Genever was a jeweller and daughter Rosa was a tailoress.

I don't have too much info on this side of my family, I believe they moved to Leeds for a short while before returning to Birmingham but why and when I know not, other than their return must have been before 1918 because that's when Rosa and Walter's daughter Clarissa married my grandad!

Barb,

Did you know that 'Genever' is Flemish and Dutch for 'Gin'? So your roots might lye here in the low lands. (Netherlands)
