Hi Trixie: There is a Catherine Aston listed in Eliot Street School on the Friendsreunited site. I believe she grew up in Nechells and might have connections to you.

Kia Ora From New Zealand
I have William Stephens married to Sarah Ann (nee Ward) and their sons George born 1877 and Arthur Henry born 1879.
Any connections?

Hi Trixie :D Thanks for your reply.
Sarah Ann Ward married William Stephens from Winchcombe Gloucester at Alcester 26 December 1874. William had been a witness at the marriage of Henry Ward and Elizabeth Fairy 2 days previously (Christmas Eve day) - my great grandparents.
I am desperately trying to find the descendants of Henry Ward's siblings but cannot seem to break the down the walls from 1901 onwards. I would dearly love to make contact before mid March which is the 125th anniversary of the arrival of Henry Ward in New Zealand.
Like you I can see no connection between our respective Stephens families.
Good luck with your searching
Marlene
