Gavagan Margaret

Would somebody be able to help me please I have been trying to find the birth of Margaret Gavagan born 1854 in Stafford so that I can send for her birth certificate but I cannot find any trace of her.
I have her marriage certificate and the name is spelt Gavagan she was married in 1877 to Michael Curley so I have found her till 1901 but on any census forms I cannot find a trace of her mother.

Hi Dottie-au 1854 you state as birth year Margaret Gavagan,
presume on Marriage cert to Michael Curley in 1877 she states age 23 ?
Best take that with a good pinch of salt,,
If Michael was a bit "older" or even Younger,, she would "fib" a few years,
Also her name may be Margaret with other Name before or Aft,
she may just prefer "Margaret", could also be Gavigan?
Remember,, Marriage certs are not "Certain" in correctness,, lotsa leetle fibs get stuck in there, very few could read & write in that era so the
Vicar/Priest wrote down what he was told if he understood the dialects,

Do you have Margaret Gavagan on 1861,1871 censii Then with Michael
1881,91,01,,, best to track back to 1861 or even 1851 if "age" a fib.

Hi John thanks for your reply. This is what I have on Margaret.

1851 no Margaret but census name is Gavacon

1861 I cannot find the family but am still looking at different spellings.

1871 Margaret is 17

1877 she marries Michael and it says both 24

from then till 1901 she is with Michael and their ages still work back to 1854
thank you anyway for your help.

Patrick GAVERGAN age 36 b.Ireland
Bridget age 37 b. Ireland
Michael 16 b. Stafford
Mary 12 b. Stafford
Peter 10 b. Birmingham
Margaret 8 b. Stafford

I have searched all records with all spellings but cannot find Margarets birth however the nearest I could get to any of the family name spellings was Peter Garacan registered Dudley June 1852 6c 43.

It may be worth a try,if you send for certificate stipulate the parents must be Patrick and Bridget.
