I am looking for any information on George Gauntlett born c1773 and his son George Thomas Gauntlett born c1817 in Birmingham. George Snr was, it is believed, married twice. George Jnr being a son of the first marriage, possibly to Hannah. His second marriage was to Maria (Jenkins?). They had 10 children, mostly born in the Cornwall, Devon area. George Jnr married Mary Ann Shepherd. Both father and son were Stone Masons/Carvers and travelled around the country presumably for work. If this sounds like your Gauntletts I would love to hear from you. Any information most welcome.
