Sometimes something jumps out from old photos, which makes me want to find out more. This common view of Victoria Square c1958 has a lot to interest the vintage car enthusiast. But the feature I wanted to know about was who was G W Wake (van on the left) ?

Well the late Phil posted about this business telling us that in 1949/50 G E Wake Fruiterers was at the postal address of 1 & 2 Dale End at the corner with Albert Street. Phil's photo is from 1953
