Hi Martin. There was a comment on this Free Library extract where another person also commented on a bill from Cheslers of Small Heath. The comment is right at the bottom of the page. Theirs was a 1925 bill for a three-piece suite and some stools. Viv.

hello Vivienne had a quick read she also says about a Florrie now my mom either had a friend or relation called that more to discover ,I have my fathers redundancy notice also I am sorting out all the papers but they are frail moth eaten old , some photos of people soldiers of unknown names will try to scan and post but thankyou for info

Not a shop I can claim to have known but from the prices quoted on the receipt it seems to have been an old company, This photo looks to be mid 60's so it seems to have lasted well, The premises are still standing today, but they seem to be part of a larger complex.
