Here's a picture of one of my relatives by marriage outside the Fox and Dogs, Little Sutton Lane, in 1915. Can anyone confirm the name of the landlord please?

Morning Davidfowler. Dosen't look like the Fox and Dogs I Knew in 1967 or the Fox and Dogs I know now - but then - I wasn't even a 'twinkle' in 1915. Nice to see the picture and how it has changed over the years. Miriam.

Morning Miriam. It has the address written on the back as Little Sutton Lane but I thought I know a "Fox & Dogs" on Little Sutton ROAD, Mere Green. Not sure if the name of the road was previously "lane" or this pub was there but is no longer.

I know the Fox and Dogs quite well I would say its a building built around the 30s maybe on the existing site. Dek

Hello David. Like you I am never sure as to which road F & D belong to. - I think Little Sutton Lane turns left [from me]into Mere green Road, but if you continue straight the road becomes Little sutton Road. This is how it was in 1966 and still is. The Fox and Dogs has been refurbished three time to my knowledge. It is now a Carvery and always seems to be busy in the summer It used to have 'grounds. with a lawn with benches around, this is now a car park.! Miriam.

I have just been informed to day, that the Fox & Dogs [sometime in March] will return to a.' two for one', also that they are to bring back - The Wacky Warehouse - now - what is better than that!!!!!!!! Miriam. PS there are new managers - Gary & Carol [I think].
