Hi, Can anyone help me find 3 people the last I can find on them are 1911 5 Gladstone and Bright Terrace Lees Street Birmingham Edith Floyd age 11 and sister Lily Floyd age 13. The 3rd sister being Nellie (this is the name she is called by I'm trying to find her real birth name} is living at the same address in 1930 but after that I cannot find her or her sisters (after 1911) Thank You Michelle

Hi Michelle.Im a Floyd. My parents lived in Lees St.My dad had 5 brothers and 1 sister.Sadley both my parents have passed away. Can i ask Michelle what contact you have with the Floyds?I hope you get the info you want the people on here are so helpful so fingers crossed you get the help you need.Irene

Michelle, they could have married so be listed under their married names. Women weren't included on electoral rolls until they were over 30,up until 1928, when it was made equal with the men and women over 21 were included Hve you looked up any marriages?
Also, Nellie may well be her birth name, it was a popular first name around 1900-1920, not as a shortened version of another name.
Hope you find the info you are looking for.
Sue

Michelle, are you sure the Lily you have in 1930 is the correct one, I couldn't find her, but on the 1930 electoral rolls, there are Elizabeth Jane, Lily and Nellie Floyd at 2 back of 96 Garbett Street - this matches the mom and sisters names from the 1911 census, may be worth a second look.
Looked for marriages for Edith and there are 4 that could fit, in 1922,24, 27 and 33, you may want to look at them too, all on Ancestry.

Michelle & Irene act on the good advice from sistersue & may I suggest that you check further electoral rolls at this site, midlandhistoricaldata.org/ this is a pay-per-view site & should have info related to Address.s/Names you mention ,,John

Am happy to look at more for you, do you know any other names connected with the family, may give a clue for marriages. Also there is a William have you looked at him at all?
Irene may have more info Michelle, she has looke at the history as well.
Sue

Nellie is often a family name for Ellen.
Florence Helen Floyd was born in Birmingham 1906 the daughter of John Henry Floyd and Elizabeth Jane Hewitt
She married Ephraim Thomas Brunt in July 1930 her name given as Florence Ellen Floyd and she died
Florence E Brunt in 1952.

Hi all, thanks for the help yesterday, I am now looking up the persons. The information you gave me is all correct and maybe your right about Nellie being Florence Ellen as she did marry in 1930 so maybe that's why I couldn't find her. Yes Irene we maybe relatives maybe we can find a connection together!! Thank all Michelle
