I have been researching my Great Grandfather Thomas Faux B 1846 and was a Foreman Clockmaker and lived in Handsworth and would love to know more about him and where he worked if this is possible to investigate more? Just a newbie on here and think I have posted on the wrong thread, sorry!

Don't worry about posting on the wrong thread Carolyn, someone will move it for you I'm sure. I still make mistakes and I've been on the forum for 10 years now! I'm pretty sure there is a thread for clocks but not sure about clockmakers. Welcome to the forum and good luck with your search.

Welcome Carolyn. I've set up a new thread for you. Hopefully someone will be able to help you in your search for Thomas Faux and clockmaking. Good luck with your research. Viv.

Welcome to the site. Am I right in assuming you have already accessed the census information and marriage records? Finding where he was employed may be a tall order.
