Greetings from New Zealand

I have discovered my FARREN family (going forwards from when the great grands left Brum in 1878!) living at 46 Henlow Road Moseley & Kings Heath in 1935.

Can anyone recall the family?
I don't know if there were children?
Tell me about the area?
Any other snipppets ( I haven't yet found their deaths but what is a likely burial place?)
Was this area subject to bombings in the 1940s?

Any "news" welcome!
Marlene

Re: 46 Henlow Road 1935 FARREN

Hello Marlene & Kia Ora to You & land of long white cloud :)

Henlow Road is at B,ham A-Z ref 5H page 147, its Maypole area/side of Kings Heath
Its off Sladepool Farm Rd & Hawkshurst Rd just behind the main Alcester Road,
The area is a nice suburb, residential & quite near Cocks Moors Park,
Leisure centre & nice Golf course, (Played there lots, Ruined my Handicap lots  )
Its also close to Brandwood End Cemetery,,so maybe answer your question?.
Its about 6-7 miles out of B,ham City centre so not (as far as i know) bombed,,possibly Strays?, others may know,
There are No,,Farren surnames on the B,ham Civilians Bomb/killed list,
Farrell,s & Frowen,s but no Farren,s Ok,
Ok all i know for now, Tuhi tuhi taka reta ,;),Good luck, JohnY

Kia Ora John!
Sorry about the Golf - perhaps you'd do better here in Aotearoa?????? On 2nd thoughts it's election year - might be better to wait! Usual BS!!!!

Thanks for the info about Henlow Road and the bombings! I'm just cracking the 1901 barrier and "going forward" as the All Blacks say (no longer believe them - you have them all over there!).

Hopefully one day I'll find my rellies!
