Hya all would be lovely if some kind person could give me any information concerning this picture of these lovely young ladies. We know for certain one of them is a lillian farmer. I do have the birth certificate and I know for certain she never married.View attachment 48165

Re: re-farmer

In the 1911 census, 13 Lilian Farmers come up for Warwickshire alone. Would you have more information?

Re: re-farmer

Hya yes terry our lilian farmer was born on 7th august 1897. 3 back 213 irving street.
1901 census 3/15 latimer street. She is, as you look at the picture into your screen the young lady in the uniform on the left hand side.
I do have lillians life history etc, it is that lillian and the other young lady on the right as you look at the picture have uniforms on. These appear to me to be mens jackets and the one on the right has some bands on the sleeve. Lillian would have been around 17 years old in 1914.
She only had one sister who was born in 1895, but had a child in 1913 and another in 1914. There is lots of history details here but suffice to say I would love to find out more about what these uniforms are. Lillians sister married a thomas smith, I have tried in many different ways to get thomas's (1595) war history but more of this later.

Re: re-farmer

Hya linda yes this is the same family.

My lillian is the only one in the family (in the pic)that we know of.
However thank you I have not looked at any ww1 records for this. Will have a go at this.

Would anyone be able to confirm by looking at the picture
if the lady at the centre front in white and the lady to the right in uniform could be jewish.
( I do hope I have put this correctly I do not wish to offend anyone) I am now finding out there may be a connection to the family from this area.
