FARMER family Amy 130, colebourne road & margaret Ethel. Louisa Helen actress

knowlegable brummie
Hi Does anyone know anthing at all about my aunt, Amy Farmer born 1898, resident in 111, Walford Road, Sparkbrook, with her mum, Maria Farmer b: 1855 in Kings Norton (nee Kirby and previously married to a Joseph Mc Cracken) brother, (my dad) William Kerby Farmer b: 1895 and nephew Frank Mc Cracken and niece Ada Humphreys (daughter of Flora [nee Mc Cracken] and Thomas Sydney Humphreys). & sister Louisa Helen Farmer (listed as an actress in 1911, don't know if she married or died and would really like to) She lived here up until the 1930s, then moved to 130, Colebourne Road, Birmingham, where she stayed until death in 1975/6 ish.

I think Amy was a teacher in Birmingham all her life. In 1939 she's listed with an ETHEL MARGARET Farmer, don't know who this is and would love to.

Do know some of the kids spent time in 1901 in Shenely Fields, my dad, his sister Rose Emily Farmer b: 1889, and Catherine Elizabeth Farmer. Don't know how long they were there after that

Lost all trace of my dad's dad - Henry Farmer, born 1855, in Birmingham. His wife lists herself as married in 1901 and widowed by 1911. Still can't find a death that fits this.

Any info. at all, may help as lovely Brummie Dad died when I was only 14 and I'd like to fill all the gaps in my knowledge of his family.

Sorry I don't know anything about Amy, but have replied to your other post re Charles Edward Farmer nd really think we could be on to something here as a lot of the names seem to fit. I can certainly provide info on Charles Edward Farmer onwards and it would make my 85 year old Mum's day to find out more about the Farmer family. She was born Winifred Annie Mary Farmer in 1924
