Couldn’t quite make this out. It’s a social club occasion for a company named Ex-Army Transport Ltd. Can’t find anything out about them. Would this have been a company dealing with old army stock ? If so I expect they became valuable to the government given the closeness to the outbreak of WW2.

March 1939, Evening Sentinel shows Cooke and Burgess, Haulage Contractors, partnership dissolved. Maybe Ex-Army took over their truck ? I think 1939 is the earliest mention of Ex-Army Transport.
