The cutting below records the end of a tradition on 11.3.1970. Some on the forum (not me- Lyn's hammer looks painful) might wish to go in mourning for the death in Birmingham of the all-male bar !!
What's wrong with having a male-only bar? I wouldn't have a problem with a female-only one.

thanks for that clipping mike and actually you may call me old fashioned but i would have no problem at all with there being the odd men only bar around...i find it quite quaint with one proviso...i could be an honourary member
