I am looking for information on an Elsie Irene Evans born circa 1921, she was living in Somerville Road, Aston, in 1939 and she was working at Lucas's factory... Worth a try

only info i can give (from electoral rolls) is that in 1939 when she was living at 111 somerville rd. the other occupants were mary ann evans, john william hogarth and daisy ella hogarth. i dont really know what info you want but hope this helps

do you know if she was married in 1939? in 1941 theres a marriage of elsie I evans to stanley a fownes in bham

if this is her husband in 1950 they were living 49 goodway rd. perry barr and in 1955 at 6 arran rd. stechford.

it could be another elsie I evans though, but just posting it in case!

That's good detective work! All I know is her name and address in 1939. She is my dad's mum and he was put into a home when he was 1 (in 1939) so that's all I have... if I could find her d.o.b then it would be easier... my dad was told she was 16 in 1939 (so born c 1921) but then I paid for the 1939 census and it said 1916 so I am none the wiser really... thanks anyway. The hunt continues!

the fact that she appears on the electoral rolls in 1939 means she had to be at least 21yrs at that time, so the latest her birth could be is 1918.
