Electoral Roll 1920's/30's

skylark

Proud to be a Brummie !!
Hello folks.....another plea for help regarding finding someone on the electoral rolls, please..

On the 1911 census I have found this family living at 3/120 Greenway Street..

Annie( Ann) Swain, 49, widow.
Lily Ashford, 14 ( I expect she is married by the 1920's )
William Edward Swain, 9.

So my plea is for finding Annie & William Edward on the 1920's electoral rolls...can anyone help please ??

Many thanks,
Margaret.

I assume that these are different , but may be related:
It’s a trifle confusing with a william and a George William. I hope below is clear.
1920
Annie, Harry and William Swain at 60 golden hillock Road
1925
William, George William, Annie Charlotte, Harry, and Herbert Spencer Swain again at 60 Golden Hillock Road
1930
William, Annie charlotte, harry and George William Swain are at no 60 Golden Hillock Road,
Herbert Spencer Swain and lilian Swainare at no 50 GHR, with Frank & Margaret whillock

Thank you both for the ongoing info on this family...

The Greenway St connection seems to be spot on...the Golden Hillock Swain's are not known to me ( as yet !)...I MAY have found a death for Annie M E Swain in Dec 1927 aged 66 that seems to fit...so William Edward Swain is on his lonesome or married going into the 1930's.

Once again many thanks for your great help......appreciated !!

Margaret.

William E Swain marriage to Frances E V Partridge 4th quarter 1927 Birmingham South vol 6d page 121 could be the one you are looking for...

If so the Electoral rolls give:
William Edward Swain and Frances Evelyn Victoria Swain at-
68 Overton Rd Hall Green in 1930/5
55 Oakhurst Rd Hall Green in 1939
55 Pool Farm Rd Acocks Green in 1945

BRILLIANT !!! Many thanks for this info Lloyd....I really feel I am getting somewhere now...here's a coincidence...I am posting a birthday card to my friend who lives in Pool Farm Road !! I must now ask her if she has any memories of this couple...
Once again Many thanks for taking the time to look for the Swains for me.

Best regards,
Margaret.
