knowlegable brummie
I am looking for any information or photographs of my mothers family, her parents names were Jesse Buxton, her mothers Maiden name was Harriet Cooper: they had three Daughters, Iris born 1913, my mother Edna born 1915, Joyce (Jesse) born 1920. They lived at 11 Serpentine Grove off Serpentine Road, Aston. My mother married an Irish man John Shaw in 1943 and they lived at 504 Witton Road until late 1956 then they Moved to 58 Tame Road. Mom died in August 1957 and dad die December 1961. I would really appreciate any information about them or photos of them, or the Buxton family. I have no photos of my parents or mom's family and at 76 years old i am trying to do my family tree.
I would appreciate any help.

Joseph James Buxton son of Joseph James is with his grandmother, Clara Jukes. He's listed as James Buxton Border, probably due to a mistake when filling out the census.

He appears to emigrate to Australia.

Best best for info etc is your cousins, children of Iris & Joyce.

Iris Irene Buxton b 26 Aug 1913, d 1998. She married Harold Whinyates and had 2 sons Rodney & Donald (both now died).

Both married (Donald twice) and had children. Rodney had 1 likely son and Donald 2 daughters from first marriage and 3 sons from second. They all seem to be alive.

Joyce Lilian Jessie Buxton b 24 Jul 1922, d 1993. She married Edward G Burton and probably had a son and 2 daughters.

It's not certain if or who they married.

Thanks to those of you who supplied information to me, some of it I already knew about, Iris and Harold had three sons, Rodney, had two sons Julian and Lawrence, Lawrence died, Julian is still alive, as is Nathalie the adopted daughter.
Donald had a daughter with his first wife, her name was Carina, she died, he has three sons with his second wife, all alive.

Iris and Harold had another son named David, he has two sons with his wife Sandra, all are still alive as of yesterday when I was speaking to him.
I would appreciate any further information that any one else has.
