When I was young we lived in Raglan Road Edgbaston and my old dad would push me high on the old apple tree swing, I remember the land behind us full of bull dozers and graders and lorries, this would have beeen about 1948/49 and I was told that they were building a new international cricket pitch. Now some 60 yrs later they are doing it again small world.

The curve of the buidling has a Selfridges style wall to it. They have just done up the council flats around there, known as the Cricket Blocks. So it should all be looking good.
