I still have my original provisional driving licence. In simpler more secure times it wasn't necessary to have "ID". No picture or personal description on your driving licence. I have attached copies showing my provisional, valid for 3 months only. The name and address is not legible as renewal would mean that they just stuck your new one over the old one. I also, and not very proudly included an endorsement for speeding in 1961.
