Donation of Pictures, Prints & Books - Old Birmingham

Here goes - pics of the goodies we have been given. Apologies in advance if some pics are not very good but you will get a flavour of the goodies.
First up some lovely framed prints - some black and white but some coloured.

Thank you all for your kind words. I am so pleased that my late Father’s (Norman, aka Brookieboy) Birmingham collection has gone to such a good cause and where it will be appreciated. It’s also a way for me of keeping his memory alive. I have been reading his threads on the forum and I can hear him speaking. With much lov and thanks. Yvonne xxx

I have a collection of books , magazines & framed pictures of Birmingham and I have often wondered what will happen to them after I pass away. Problem is that I am in Canada, which presents a logistical nightmare in financial terms.

Also in the boxes of goodies were 20+ laminated pics/prints. I have scanned those rather than take photos. Some, I think, may already be on the forum in an appropriate thread but thought I would put them all on here. They are A4 size apart from the first couple. The airport one is actually a greetings card (unused). Here goes:

My Father, who was a member of this forum, sadly passed away in May 2021, aged 92 years young. Her was born in a back to back house in Brookfields and was very proud of his Birmingham heritage. I have a box of immaculate pictures, prints and books relating to old Birmingham that I am happy to donate. However, having tried various organistations (Central Library, Back To Backs, Birmingham Archives), nobody seems interested in taking them. It seems such a shame, not to mention waste, just to have to bin them. If anyone can suggest anything or anyone, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Yx

If you get stuck just mention the name and I (or someone) can start one if you want.
Thank you, I may be barking up the wrong tree here but what I’m looking for is a person who lived in the back to back houses on Hope Street Birmingham, she passed away December 1948, she has two small children
