Hi Folks
Like my earlier post for the Waggon and Horses, I'll just drop a link in for some pub history.....
www.midlandspubs.co.uk/birmingham/birchallstreet.htm#Dog-and-Partridge
Just wondered if anyone has patronised this place over the years. Originally called The Minerva, it was more recently re-named the Market Tavern following a refurbishment after a fire.
There's a nice colour photograph of the pub, one of the architectural highlights of this area.
To help jog the memory banks, here's a short list of publicans....
1959 - 1961 William George French
1961 - 1963 Michael Murphy
1963 - 1965 Joseph Brendan Burke
1965 - 1973 Ronald Alfred Griffiths
1973 - 1975 Andrew Bingham
1975 - 1977 Helen Martha Bingham
1977 - 1982 Ronald Percy Sweet
1982 - 1983 Richard Kenneth Fletcher
1983 - 1984 Paul Edward Fitzgerald
1984 - 1985 Mitchell James Marriatt
1985 - 1986 Frank Michael Butler
1986 - 1988 Thomas Raymond Smith
1988 - 1990 Peter William Smith
A full list can be found in the drop-down box on the website.
Cheers
Kieron
