Delicia Cinema (now part of the EBRI at Aston University).

Thought I'd start a new thread for this former cinema, as all that remains is the frontage behind the EBRI (European Bioenergy Research Institute).

Photos from 2011 (may have posted them before in another thread). This was before the EBRI was built behind it.

With the Sack of Potatoes pub.

I knew about the Delicia of course and seem to have read here that it was a TV studio at one time but, did not know that the frontage had been retained next to the pub. A piece of inspiration by someone. Gosta Green by Lister Street...the portal to a lot of industry at one time. Good post.

I remember going to a concert in the main building in the 80s or 90s and at that time it had an open floor rather than seating. Around the same time, the Triangle cinema operated from either the same building or another that had been built onto the back. I'm not entirely sure whether that cinema used part of the main building through an entrance at the back or a separate one that had been built onto the back of it. The Triangle did not use the hall in the main building. Later, the front part of the building became a branch of Waterstones.
