DAVIES (Erdington)

TaffyGirl

proper brummie kid
I have posted here bfore, but hoping a new pair of eyes might find this, and know of the family .....

It starts with my Uncle, William DAVIES. He was born in Wales. He had several Sons, 2 of which moved to Erdington. They were Leslie James and John E Davies. They lived in Maxted Road and Gravelly Lane (respectively).

I have been provided with copies of the Electoral returns, and this was their last known addresses in 1974. I can't trace them from there.

I know also that Leslie was married to a Janet Murial Walters in 1940. They had Sons, David Leslie (1952) & John Brinley Davies (1948).

If anyone knows these people, or where they are now, I would love to hear from you/them. This is the only branch of the tree that I am stuck with.

I understand that some poeple are not interested in their family history, so if that is the case, I will respect that, but I would be grateful if you could contact me - even if it is only to fill in the gaps !!

:explode:This family history stuff is VERY frustrating !!:explode:

These may well not be your "needles in the haystack", but...
A David L Davies married a Maureen A Barber 1st quarter 1982 Birmingham vol 32 page 0574.

A John B Davies married a Linda A Pallett 3rd quarter 1971 Birmingham vol 9c page 353
and/or a Carole E Anderton June 1986 Birmingham vol 32 page 140

It is possible that the Davies/Pallett marriage produced two children, Gareth John Davies born 1st q. 1973 Sutton Coldfield, and Jenny Anne Davies, born 1st q. 1976 Birmingham.

Try getting the marriage certificates with the proviso "only if the groom's father is Leslie James Davies" in your application.

:P There aren't frustrations, just opportunities to find solutions :P
