From Hitchmoughs Black Country Pubs CD:
Joseph Darby was Landlord of the Albion, 15 Stone St Dudley From 1901 -1938. Exact date he started not known, but could have been earlier than 1901.
gives following:
"Joseph Darby was “The World Champion Jumper”.
He was vice president of the Dudley and District LVA Wine and Beer Retailers’ Protection and Benevolent Society. [1917]
He was a trustee of Dudley Licensed Victuallers’ Association. [1935]
He died in 1937, aged 76."

Norah Darby (presumably his wife) took over 1938-1941 (possibly there till later)

Norah Darby married Mr. Hollingworth on 14th September 1938.

It closed in 2005. [2006]

I think that Norah was one of Joseph's younger daughters. His wife was Sarah.
