Hi there, my G G Grandmother, Sarah Crockett, was born in birmingham (or possibly Oldbury according to 1 census
) in approx 1836. She was one of a number of children born to Thomas Crockett & Letitia Barton, I have found baptisms for some siblings at St Martins B'ham but not Sarah. Thomas & Letitia were married there in 1822, sadly no parents names are in the parish register. The family moved to St George in the East, Tower Hamlets between 1841 & 1851. According to 1841 census Thomas was a Brewer but once in London from 1851 his occupation is given as Brass Finisher.
Sarah married George William Hicks in 1860 in Stepney.
I would love to hear from anyone connected with this family. Can anyone can help me find out more about any of this family, I suspect I am at a dead end here unless I can find out how/why they moved to London.
