Look to trace my family and know that in the 1901 census Harry cope live in Aston Manor with Wife Lavinia Cope. Its the address i am trying to read from the census

It reads something like

Warriwright St.
Warmwright St
worriworight St.

Any info would be great.

Wainwright street of Lichfield road Aston Cross Birmingham 6 it would have been Aston Manor before 1911

most maps of this area will have Wainwright street on them as it was in a very heavy industrilased area HP Sauce Ansells Hercules Dunlop and many moreTry "The Godfery Davis Editions" very good maps if you ask nicely Forum members will post maps of the area

Wainwright St 1855 note the spelling on Golden Cross Tavern (Golden Crofs) which was the old English way of spelling :- FS=SS 
Primrose Hill was before Nechells was built

Jsut up from this street is Vyse Street. Any maps on that. This is the street he lived in where my Grandfather was born. That would be fantsic too

John, thats what a "godfrey Edition" is. Nice one. Do you know if the go back into the 1850's ish.
