hi mike just found out i had rellies in cook st so when you have time could i have a map please showing number 13 and also waterloo place...

Heres a photo of Cook St, well half of it anyway. Its taken from the junction with Chattaway Rd.

thank you phil...i know my rellies were there from at least 1901 to 1911 so they may even be on that pic..

Judging by the map, I'm afraid Phil's picture is looking the other way down the street, away from the area you are interested in. It was a little complicated. It looks like there was some renovation/rebuilding of thre terraces before WW1, there is nothing named Waterloo on the c1889 map, but by the 1920 electoral roll there is a Waterloo Terrace (not listed as "place"). In 1889 it seems to have been called Brough's Buildings. anyway I have marked it in red on the map, and presumably the numbering went from 1 nearest the road.No 13 is one of the two houses marked in blue. You may jut be able to see that two blocks away there is a terrace called Broughs Terrace. In 1889 it was named william's buildings
