I just found out from the 1908 Kelly's that my grandfather, John Dorricott, had a wholesale confectionery business on Johnstone St. in Birchfield. I don't know the number and he was gone - to Derby - by 1911. Ring any bells?
Many factories, especially if setback, were not given numbers . From its position, the building would have been the one in red on the c1904 map below. The building to the left of it was no 22 and still there in 1950. Before that (in the 1904 Kellys) he was in Washwood Heath Road
