Frederick Price, hairdresser was at 6 College Road, off Alum Rock Road in directories from1912 till 1924, but not in 1910. or 1932. John Arnold, tobacconist was also at no 4. I can find no mention of a Sansom, stationer at no 2, but there was a staioner at no. 2, a Arthur Heathcote , so Sansome mayrefer to a previous owner of the shop. So the photo was taken some time immediately before or a few years after WW1

The building , very modified , is still there, with Price's now being a Post Office. The Moslem owners of the end shop has added an ornate embellishment to what was a rather plain corner.
