I think this is such a charming photograph of a school play at Church Rd. School, Yardley, taken approx. 1907.
Pictured Beatrice Shepperson (front).

Oops! Beatrice Shepperson wasn't born till 1910, so this photo must be approx. 1917/18.

Thank you Mariew.

The school was built by Worcester Council, 1908, it is 100yrs old this year, all seven members of my family, 3 Sisters and 4 Brothers were pupils at the school, my only Sister still alive. Kathleen is 94yrs young. Len.

Thank you for that information Len. If the school is 100 years old this year, they may like a copy of this photograph. I wonder if your sister Kathleen would recognise these girls.

The school has had upvc windows fitted and there is brick air raid shelter approx halfway along from Harvey Rd and part has been taken away which was the woodwork room at the TSB bank end other wise it is the same looking school as the photo, a great building, you would welcome the workers to your house to build an extension. The road is in better condition !!. Len.

Thanks Len that's a great photo to go with the one of Beatrice.

Hello Ann, Kath started at the school in 1914, unfortunatly her eyesight is very poor, but she might recall the name i wiil ask her as Beatrice Shepperson started school the same year. Len.

Len,
Wondered if you remembered the church hall at St. Michael's in Church Rd., by Milton Crescent.
This a photo of my husband practising there with his band 'Shades of Blue'. Colin Wood (back left) went on to join Keith Powell and The Valets.

Len, I think Beatrice Shepperson lived in Yew Tree Lane, in case that helps to jog Kathleen's memory.

Thanks Ann, Do i remember the church hall in Milton Crescent?, you bet your life i do!!, off you go to Sunday School, don`t come home to early your Mom & Dad are going to bed for a rest, it was many years later before i found out why they realy went to bed it was`nt for a rest!!, young and innocent i was, you can draw your own conclusion!!!. The photo of the interior is just how i remember it, my Brother will be over the moon when he views it. Len

You made me smile Len. No, mom and dad didn't, did they. We were all obviously by the stork. Glad that photo brought back memories and hope your brother enjoys seeing it.
This photo was taken at The Good Companions, my husband playing again for the P.V.M. Which he tells me stood for Patrick Rd Vera Rd. and Moat Lane association.

All young and handsome and hoping to top the charts, we used to have works dances at "The Good Uns" from the BSA Tools, Kitts Green circa 1956 onwards what year was the photo?, do you have any photos of The Good Companions outside Ann?. Len.

Flip me Lencops now I know why I HAD to go to sunday school, so mom and dad could have a 'rest'.

Len, My husband thinks it was about 1962, not certain. Sorry I haven't got any exterior shots.
Fame and fortune, we haven't for a while, but we used to entertain at over 60's clubs.
I'm sure my aunt and uncle, Ethel and George Bradley, worked at that B.S.A.
