Just heard the very sad news of the passing of the wonderful Christine Mcvie,a superb singer songwriter with the Supergroup Fleetwood Mac.Managed to see them in 2015 at the Nec in Birmingham,when Christine had rejoined the band after a long break.
The concert was fantastic one of the very best I have attended.Would like to hear if other BHF members were in the audience?
So many fantastic Songs in her and FM’s catalogue.

Very sad. Her father was Cyril Perfect who taught for several years at St Philip's GS.

I think her first band as a vocalist was Chicken Shack, she was of course known then as Christine Perfect..

Yes, here she is with Chicken Shack singing the Etta James song I'd Rather go Blind from 1968.

I think I saw Chicken Shack at Mothers Club but she may have left them by then.

She grew up in Bearwood and later studied sculpture for five years at Moseley School of Art. Art colleges provided creative space for budding musicians to form groups. Those were golden days...

Chicken Shack were at Mothers 3 times before March 69 so she would have been with them then. They played once more in Dec 70, just before the club closed so she'd left by then.
