Can anyone help?

I have having trouble finding my maternal grandfather's birth

His name is Charles Benjamin ADAMS born 1884

I have his marriage and death certificate, but searching for his birth certificate on ancestry i get no matching results.

on the marriage certificate his father's - John's profession is Bricklayer- Journeyman

I have found in the 1891 census a John Adams who was a bricklayer living in the area i.e. Balsall Heath , there is no Charles listed as his children, but there is a Benjamin, born the same year as my grandfather.

Is it possible that this may be my grandfather???

Bill, I have found the same too, but if you look on FMP, the Benjamin Adams born in 1884, has the 2nd name of Charles, so would be likely to be your grandfather I would think. You can I tjink request the birth certificate stating that you only require it if the fathers details are correct on it - I'm sure one of the more experienced forum members will confirm this and maybe give you a little more infoo on how to do it.
