Charlesworth Thomas

Charlie

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
Please could someone with Ancestry see if they can find Thomas Charlesworth's death in 1953?
I understand there is a headstone in Key Hill with his name on and I'm wondering if it was my dad's brother. He was born in 1894, so would be around 59 when he died - if it's the Thomas I'm looking for.
Many thanks.

Have looked through all 4 quarters of 1953 and the first quarter of 1954 and he isn't there. There is a Thomas Charlesworth in the 1st quarter of 1954, but he was registered in Nottingham and is 66 years of age.

Did he have any other christian names?

Re: Thomas Charlesworth

Oh dear! Thanks for looking Barrie - I typed THOMAS Charlesworth when it should have been (his brother) JOSEPH Charlesworth. It was late...I was tired....and I'm also a total plonker! So sorry, could you look for JOSEPH for me please?

Re: Thomas Charlesworth

Thank you so much Barrie, sorry about the initial confusion (not enough red wine obviously).
That's my uncle, for sure. I can now make a pilgrimage to Key Hill and try to find his grave. I'll send for the death cert as well, 59 is such a young age.
Strange...I would have been 12 when he died yet have no recollection of going to his funeral or anything :(.
Many thanks for your help.

Re: Thomas Charlesworth

You're very welcome mate, the help I have received from other folks on this site couldn't be beaten. This must be one of the best family history sites on the web.
