Charlesworth boatman

Charlie

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
My Great-Great Grandfather (John William Charlesworth) was a boatman. When he gave it up he ran the Tindal Arms pub in King Edwards Road, there's a Tindal Bridge over the canal there, so I guess that was near where the pub was. In 1841 census his address was "Towing Path, Ladywood" - by 1851 he was running the pub. How I wish I had photos of ANY of my Charlesworth family, but only my dad I'm afraid.
