Am trying to make contact with a michael charles who lived in wakeman grove sheldon in the 1960s - have searched on friends united and all schools but no trace - he had a cousin called vinnie ? surname possibly same - am not computer literate but am hoping someone out there can help - or tell me how - possible he moved to tamworth - thats it folks HELP anyone!!!!!

Am now pleased to tell all that although no one on site recalled the above I have now found him and a contact has possibly been made -

Whilst doing my family tree came across another done by a member of his family and after search through face book (original email address discontinued) have had a message passed on ... so to all those who are still looking for old friends and relatives I say follow every lead however small because the info is there as long as you are prepared to SEARCH...

Howdy Cowboy :) Start with checking the Electoral Rolls 1960+ at B,ham Central Library,
Find ,,Wakeman Grove, Sheldon and Surname,, Charles (of Voting Ages) at address,
Check each year until they (Family? + Michael ) Not there,,moved,, Then check Tamworth Electoral Rolls,,
Cheers JohnY:cool:

I have looked in the Tamworth phone directory there is a V.M. Charles in Glascote and an M. Charles in Polesworth and an M.E.Charles on the Tamworth Road.

Hi Cowboy,

I know fewer people are in the phone book these days, but its worth a shot. There are only 15 Charles in the phone book. There's a L. Charles, living in Minworth, who could easily be related, that no. is 0121 351 3416. It wouldn't hurt to try that number and ask if they are related. There are also 2 M. Charles in Birmingham. Also, I've heard people, who are trying to find someone again, phone in to the Ed Doolan Show on Radio W.M., and that programme covers the midlands.
I wish you luck.
All the best Ann

Thanks to all of you

I have tried all phone numbers and some replies I just can not print here !!!

Am going to central library but suspect he married and left home before 21

unfortunate that his surname is CHARLES -

Great site - little difficult to get around at first but will keep practising:)
