Hello
i am starting out at the bottom day one . How do i locate a cemetery ,my people were members of the Birchfield Holy Trinity church for approx. 30+ years starting in the 1880's I assume they are resting in a cemetery affiliated with that church. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated
Regards
Terry

The burial place around a church is a churchyard. Maybe others can help with info on Holy Trinity. Most graveyards were closed by the 1880's, unless you had a family plot, as they were full to overflowing. This is why the cemeteries were opened as burial places. Cemeteries are not connected to churches they were either privatly owned or council owned. It is most likely your family were buried in a cemetery and from the location I would guess Witton Cemetery as the first place to look.
