Cattell Road School

Yes I know my mother went there.i remember hearing something about cattell Road school or a school in cattell Road

You seem to have started a new thread.
This one called Cattell Road and the other Cattell Road School.

Do you have a rough date as I have looked in a couple of directories and phone books and drawn a blank.

Didn't realise..no dates

I can't find a Cattel Road School. As Tinpot kindly pointed out, perhaps it was Tilton Road School. If so here's a link to that school thread:

And details from British History Online:

TILTON ROAD COUNTY PRIMARY SCHOOL, Small Heath. Tilton Rd. Bd. Sch. opened 1891 by Birm. Sch. Bd. Accom. 1,070 M, I Fees all 1d. Enlarged 1906, cookery etc. centres added 1912. Altered and reorganized 1929 for SG, JI. Senior dept. became a separate sch. 1945 (see next sch.).Accom. 1961: 12 classrooms, hall.

TILTON ROAD GIRLS' COUNTY MODERN SCHOOL, Small Heath. Became a separate sch. 1945 (see preceding sch.). N.o.b. 1961: 400.

Viv - I couldn't find one either. On maps, in directories or the phone book.
The only thing I wondered was if there was an annex there?
(Thanks for merging threads).

There's a Wyndcliffe Primary School in Cattell Road (not listed on the British History site). There's an entrance on Little Green Lane too. It's looks a modern build, but perhaps there was a school there before this one, and with a different name ?

There's this BHF link to Little Green Lane School which may help.

It opened in 2015 as a new provision - so think we can rule that out.

I was thinking possibly Little Green Lane School (as per link in #15) Janice, not the later Wyndcliffe School (I assume LGLSchool was on the same site until at least the 1960s, so the predecessor to Wyndcliffe perhaps?) Presumably LGLS was replaced by Wyndcliffe and a new building ?
