In memory of my grandfather Frederick Norman Banks gassed in WW1 and who found it difficult to live with his memories. So much so that when WW2 broke out he decided to end his life.

:D Alberta how sad :( , but that is not the first person I have head of, who did the same as your Grandfather at the time of the outbreak of WW ii ... And only the other day it was reported here, that a chap in New York had taken his own life at 'Ground Zero' in protest at the re-election of Bush and the continuing of the Iraq War.
Casualties of War ... Yes very much so

How sad for his family. I can only imagine what it was like for those men in WW1 - it was supposed to be the war to end all wars. Right!

It is men like this we remember on 11th of the 11th every year. Not all were killed on the battlefield. :(
