Career Soldier before 1913

I have been told that a relative through marriage Albert C Terry was a "career Soldier" I am sure he came to Australia about 1913. can anybody give any hints to find out more about him. His nephew Harry C Stevens was in the Coldstream Guards.

This is a new line of information for me so I a liitle perplexed about where to go from here.

When I next go to the National Archives (next week some time) I'll look up Albert Terry in the WO97 collection for you. To make sure I have the right man, can you tell me anything you know about
- his age / date of birth
- where he came from
- the regiment he served with

there is an albert christopher terry on the electoral rolls for 1912 living 284 green lane, small heath

if albert christopher terry is your relative he was born in 1873 in aston and married frances leah L stevens in 1899 aston. she was born 1872 and died 1939 in brisbane australia (so looks very hopeful).

someone on ancestry links to this tree and has gone back a few generations on frances but has nothing at all about albert.

hope others will help with the military information but at least this gives you his birth and marriage details :)
