I am helping to search my Uncle's family tree. And have been helped quite alot on here which I am very grateful for.
I have found my Uncle's father's, sister and mother. His father was William James Cantell b1888, his sister Louisa was born in 1891. Born in Chertsey.
On the 1911 census it says that Louisa worked for the Lyle family, underneath her name is Edith E Cantell (also born in Chertsey) 1896.
Edith E Cantell on the 1901 census says that she was in a children's home, she was born 1896 also in Chertsey.
As William's and Louisa's father died in 1900, can anyone please check to see if Edith was related to William & Louisa in anyway. Their mother was Sarah (maiden name Church). From Devizies in Wilthshire. I was just wondering if Edith could have been another child to Sarah, but perhaps after their father dying she was sent to a childrens home. Be interested in finding out more.
