Canals and Streetview

I’ve just noticed that you can take a Streetview walk along the towpath by Clive Passage, Constitution Hill. Is it generally the case that you can access the canal paths via Streetview or is this an exception ?

Presumably Google sent someone down there on a bike ?!

Looking at google it does not seem to be the only one. you can go out on th eworcs & Birm. canal as far as Cotteridge Park, with a few little gaps. Some seem to be because they met people. The najority of th eroute can be seen

I think this a development by Google maps of a camera (usually mounted on their cars) in a backpack so they can access paths etc. not accessible by car. I think it is their intention to cover byways, pathways and cliff paths etc. in the future.

You can walk around the pedestrianised streets in Bristol, maybe other towns too.

This is a nice little walk down to the Mailbox. As an ex-pat, seeing previously (Internet) inaccessible parts of Brum is, for me, quite a revelation ! Viv.
