Between 1958-1960 my parents ran a cafe on the corner of Blythswood Road which served locals and workers from the nearby factories. I was surprised to see on Google Maps that it is still a cafe, now called Sunrise Cafe, and serving a similar menu. Does anyone have memories of this place back in 50s or anything?

No memories, but it does seem a very reasonably priced place, very smart looking and inviting. But there is competition on the other corner. Nice to see some Brummies haven't succumbed to the bland Balti menus. 
Even if some of the more well known factories have gone there still seems to be a decent amount of industry still around the area.
