Button factory

Button making was an old Birmingham industry.

In 1834 a William Elliott had a "Button Works" on the corner of Frederick Street/Regent Street in the Jewellry Quarter. This was replaced by a new building in 1888. Buiulding became the Vertu Bar in 2006 and is now a bar and dining venue known appropriately as the BUTTON FACTORY.

Is this a possibility? Brookfields is by the Jewellry Quarter but is is quite likely there may have been other button works in the area. Just a thought.
