Bus Tickets

Birmingham Post
Bus tickets held a mystical significance when we were kids. You had a lucky ticket if the numbers added up to 21 or if they they read the same left to right as right to left. A real prize ticket was one with all the same numbers.
Of course the opposite was true if the numbers added up to 13.
There was also the myth of "1 million bus tickets". It was said that if you could collect that amount you would be rewarded with a huge fortune. Quite where you would apply for this no-one would quite know.

I used to either chew mine or roll them so small they became unreadable. They came out of a ticket machine, paper tickets not card,
